ASYMMETRICAL REFLECTOR FOR
DIRECT LIGHT
It allows orienting the shaft of light in
a uniform distribution on the patient’s
bed.

ASYMMETRICAL REFLECTOR FOR
INDIRECT LIGHT
It allows orienting the shaft of light
towards the centre of the room thus
reducing the light concentration on
the wall where the head-bed is hung.

Both reflectors are made of polished
shiny aluminium plate, 99.9% purity.

Electrotechnology
Back distribution can house:
2 electrified sheaths with 4 copper conductors (having a section of 4 millimetres). It is possible to use 2 lines for each sheat with a 16A load, or 1 line with 3 lightings and share neutral.
1 eletrified sheath with 5 copper conductors (having a section of 5 square millimetres). It is possible to use 2 lines for each sheath with a 32A load and with a shared equipotential central conductor.

The bedhead can house:
1 sheath and 4 copper conductors (4 square millimeter section). Maximum load allowed is 16A. Electrical connection of sockets and controls is made through specific rapid connection power suppliers on the sheath.

On request, on the lower cover, installation of equipotential standardized sockets can be made allowing thus connection
with external masses (e.g. electromedical appliances or beds).
Control equipment (switches, push button inverters) and electrical sockets are available in models of the principal brands and can meet standards set by European and non-European countries.
If required by the client, thermal magnetic switches or safety fuses can be installed.

Lightechnique
Special attention is given to reach maximum lighting technique efficiency in system H: light is important for the wellbeing of the patient as well as for medical and paramedical assistance.

Indirect light
The rounding of the upper part of the bed head and its wide opening concentrate the light flow distribution towards the centre of the room.
Indirect light is created by 1 or 2 fluorescent tubes (26 mm diameter) or compact lamps (PL). The lamps, having a capacity ranging from 18-30-36-55 to 58 W are powered by an electro-mechanical rephased system provided with anti-interference filtre (emc 89/336/EEC directive) or with the latest electronic reactors.

Ordinary horizontal lighting, measured 1 metre from the floor, at various points of the bed axis should be from 50 to 100
LUX.

In order to have perfect light positioning for the patient and for medical care, the lamps (1 or 2 18W or PL) are placed at the lower part of the bed head where the cover has an inclination of 45°.

Reading light
Each bed is provided with 1 or 2 18W fluorescent tubes. Reading light is obtained from one of the fluorescnt tubes or from halogen spot lights powered in BBT, that can be applied to the track inside the inclined cover. It is possible to substitute the 18W tube
with an incandescent unit having an E14 lamp-holde.

For the reading light 150 to 300 LUX are recommended measured on a plane with a 45° inclination. The plane should be placed at a height of 1 metre from the wall and about 90 cmts away from the
appliance.

Light for medical care
It is obtained by switching on, the two 18W fluorescent tubes.
Controls are normally found along the edge of the beam.

300 LUX are recommended at a point 1 metre from the floor and 1 metre away from the wall.

Night light
It comes from incandescent lamps (even blue ones) having an E14 connecting plug and a power of three candles (13W) or from compact fluorescent lamps always with an E14 connecting plug.
The lamps are placed in the upper compartment of the bed head.
This light does not disturb the patient and at the same time allows para-medical assistance.

Gas technique
The fluid circuit area is wide so as to facilitate the fitting of pipelines (up to 6 within an area of 14/10mm diameter). All system H versions have an external aluminium conduit equipped with its own click opening cover (which can be removed with a tool). The gas tube conduit is situated in the lower part of the bed head and runs along the entire length of the appliance. Sockets can be applied at any point along the length.
Should medical gas tubes be situated underneath the wall surface a gas box is available (at the tube exit) where sockets
can be placed.

The normal gas sockets on the market can be used as long as Tekno-lit is informed about the pype of socket for assembly
reasons.

Communication technique
System H provides for an actual separation between low and high currents.
It has been made in compliance with European anti-interference radio norms. The different versions can be equipped with:
EDP sockets
sound diffusion devices
devices charging for television and telephone use
telephone sockets
call devices with or without sound of the best international   brands

The call systm is supplied with a multifunction hanging push button panel.
It is possible to control radio, television and lights situated both along the beam edge and in the room.
Tekno-lit recommends an easy-to assemble kit with a 230/24V transformer and relay for switching on and off bed head
lights.
