lamps with G12 socket is

ceramic protective glass
that stop the UV rays
emitted by such a lamp
type.
The reflector is vacuum
aluminium coated.
The electrical components,
such as starter,
ballast and capacitor, are
located in a separate box
acting as a base for the
unit.
